Emilie Bilodeau holds a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering and a master's degree in Infrastructure from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Urban Hydrology and Hydraulics at ÉTS. Emilie began her career as a sound technician at CBC/Radio-Canada before transitioning to the construction field. With expertise in drafting and supervising civil engineering works, she notably coordinated the expansion of a drinking water treatment plant while working at OCI Construction. At Les Services EXP, she contributed to the design of various urban infrastructure projects, while further developing her skills in computer-aided design and leadership, eventually becoming a drafting instructor.
Inspired by the engineers she worked alongside, Emilie returned to ÉTS to study Construction Engineering, where she distinguished herself through active involvement in student life and her role as a lecturer. She also deepened her expertise in urban infrastructure and explored contemporary issues such as climate change and the circular economy. In parallel with her academic journey, Ms. Bilodeau serves on several boards of directors, including the Québec section of the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) and CentrEau’s student committee, where she currently holds the position of president. Her research interests include hydrological and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, the impacts of urbanization and climate change, and blue-green infrastructure.
